We currently employ two primary varieties of lasers for cutting metal — CO2 and fiber lasers. CO2 is ideal for cutting thicker sheets of metal, whereas fibre fills the gap with better results on thinner gauges. Each laser suits a different purpose best. Different techniques are applied on the basis of metals being cut by us as well. In case of example, when it comes to cutting stainless steel we use nitrogen gas which brings out a clean edge. As for aluminum, we use oxygen gas which also provides a great edge but behaves very differently and is better suited to that metal.
